Now I have them, and to be honest, I don't know what to do with them. I have 4 of them in our small china "cabinet" and the rest are boxed in the garage for now. I'm really not a teacup sort of girl, but they are a difficult thing to consider re-homing since they held a significant place in her heart.
Anyhow, just played with the Lensbaby (yes again) on this dark and gloomy January day. Tried to "fool" the world into feeling bright and spring-like with this image.

Keep them boxed for at least awhile. I regret several things that I got rid of in haste after my mother died. The rational side of me knows that I didn't (and don't) need anything more in the house - the emotional side slips in now and again with regret. Who knows, maybe one day, (when you are ready to pass them on), you'll have a Tea Party and everyone can take home a tea cup and saucer. For now - I imagine it does bring a little Spring to the awful winter hitting the PNW.
ReplyDeleteLovely tea cup!
ReplyDeletecertainly looks like spring to me! I have one like that of my mom's, but it has forget-me-nots painted on it. She had quite the teacup collection, also.
