"Jewels"

It rained off and on today. I ventured out this afternoon, camera in hand, to see what I might find to photograph, and found the leaves of the "bleeding heart" plants covered in gems. At first glance, they looked like rhinestones to me:

And I really like this last one (don't hear me say that very often), but I am disappointed with the lighting on it. It's a little flat. I've got to try and get the hang of how to position things relative to the light source...

  5. i know i've said it before but WOW! WOW! WOW! that first one really does look like a jewel! but my fav is the second one. the hard of the iron with the soft of the water...magnificent! keep up the awesome work!

  6. That does look like a rhinestone! Great capture. And then it dawned on me... do you have a massive beautiful garden out there? I'd love to see a wide angle shot to get some perspective!

  12. It's been said, but I'll say it again...#1 definitely stands out of this series for me. The color, DOF and how the water drop is right in the bottom third of the pic is so great! The others are good too, but this one just really stands out as a superior photo!

  14. These are all beautiful, but I especially like the first one. When I first saw it, I thought you had placed a rhinestone on the leaf before you took the pic! Great color in the last one.

  17. Wow Lauren these are all very nice, your doing a great job on the macro stuff. Are you using something to make the waterdrops like a spray bottle or something?
