I had no idea

...that my horizontal images are being cut off on regular monitors. Both the desktop and the laptop we have are widescreens, so they look fine to me. Come to find out today that look crummy on regular monitors :( so, I'll be sure to size differently for them from now on.

This week's theme is botanicals. It should be a LOT easier than last week's (sports), so I might actually participate for a change. I had planned to go to one of the high school basketball games and shoot for for fun (which I will sometime soon) but then for some odd reason all the home games got changed to being away games for the week. Strange.

So, today's botanical photo is a stretch, I'll grant you that. But, S'mores IS surrounded by leaves and branches, so I'm counting it. She was asleep on the fence, and I swear I thought she was going to fall off! By the time I got back with my camera, she had woken up. Must have been a cat-nap (ha-ha-ha). Yes, I'm corny that way. Once again shot at an ISO of 1600. If any of you are thinking about moving to Seattle, the winters are seriously gloomy and dark sometimes, drives me nuts.

So, the age old question. Black and white or color. You have to choose. Really. Cuz I can't. Oh, and thank you!

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM WELCOMED

  2. IMO most definitely color does her justice. Besides, in the dreary wintery days...a touch of color brightens the day. She's a sweetie!

  8. have to go with the color...as dar said she gets lost in the black and white. the only thing i might try is to desaturate the background and leave her in color. love your colors tho! so rich looking
